Extending SharedCopy

Users of SharedCopy is not limited to the features that SharedCopy provides. Through its APIs, SharedCopy can be extended in several ways, by any developer:

• Writing Add-ons

This allows deep integration with any 3rd party web-based system: A custom process can be executed whenever a webpage is saved by SharedCopy. For those familiar with "version control systems", this is akin to writing post-commit-hook.

• Writing Buttons?

Fancy a toolbar button that draws a star shape, or highlights typo errors? Simply write some javascript code, upload it to SharedCopy and have a custom button appear on your SharedCopy toolbar.

• Writing Information Extensions?

This allows fetching of any "related information" regarding the current webpage - and having them show up under the toolbar. Useful for quick gathering of information regarding a particular webpage. e.g. Google Page Rank, Diggs count, Del.icio.us comments, etc

• Customizing the look and feel

This allows users working with clients, or with creative inclinations, to upload and use their own custom designed toolbar.
